1st Week of Hong Kong: November 23-30

We are taking Arts of China at Chinese University of Hong Kong and are staying near campus at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. During our time here, we can cook our own meals and travel by the MTR metro system. Hong Kong is "small," but it has so much life! For our personal evening and weekend times, we have been excited to hike countless trails, explore commercial life, and enjoy city lights! Here's a quick overview of our schedule this week:

  • Orientation at Chinese University of Hong Kong
  • Classes in the morning and afternoon of weekdays
  • Introduction to Tai Po Market, MTR metro system, and malls at Sha Tin
  • Personal time to explore Hong Kong on weekends! (E.g., 10,000 Buddhas Monastery, Victoria's Peak, Big Buddha, Dragon's Back, etc.)
So far, Hong Kong has been quite the treat! With such an easy public transportation system to navigate, we are excited to embark on more adventures!

And here's a sneak peak at our time in Hong Kong (ranging from the beginning to the end)!

Until next time, and on behalf of Global Semester,
Zoua Lor & Viveka Hall-Holt
